NCIF recently hosted a webinar introducing our newest research initiative on the impact of financial institutions have on economic activity and quality of life in the communities they operate. NCIF has long been a promoter of the positive impacts CDFI banks and other mission-oriented financial institutions have in their communities and this project will help provide quantitative support for those observations. The webinar introduced the research objectives and process, the project team, and introductory findings to date.

As NCIF continues with the research, we encourage participation in the project. Representatives of financial institutions are invited to be interviewed to add anecdotal context to the research. Investors, regulators and researchers are also encouraged to provide feedback to the research to date.
